If you’re a Mac user and a hardcore asset allocation nerd like us, check out this new 3rd party app: Flow Allocator (available in the Mac Store for U.S. users).
Our aim is to be best in class in terms of determining your optimal asset allocation, but we’ve always been hands off in terms of actually executing that asset allocation in your real-world portfolio.
Flow Allocator is designed to handle much of the real-world logic we use in our own investing such as allocating intelligently across multiple account types, rolling up small positions, minimizing taxable events and wash sales, etc. Even better, you can drag and drop exports from Allocate Smartly directly into the app. Pretty neat stuff.
We are not affiliated with Flow Allocator. This tool was created by one our members, and we’re just sharing his hard work. As old school Windows users, we won’t be able to put the app to day-to-day use until he releases a Windows version, but we know that we have members who could benefit.
